However, you’ll want to make sure that your dog’s needs are being met and that you’re making the right decisions for them. We’ve provided some simple tips to help you enjoy a safe and fun experience when you decide to take your dog on your next outing on the water. Respect your Dog’s Needs

An overall good approach is to respect your dog’s needs. Never push them into doing something they don’t want to do. Help them get used to the boat before hitting the water for the first time and keep your first trips fairly short. While treats are a good idea, avoid giving them too much food as it could make them seasick.

Bring the Essential Supplies

Before you hit the water, make sure you have the right gear to keep your dog safe and in good spirits. Start by investing in a doggy life jacket.
