Our Lake George Sailing School has courses for Beginner and Beginner/Intermediate Sailors
Two-Day Sailing Course
- Saturday & Sunday 9 am to 4 pm
- One-Hour Lunch Break and On-The-Water Instruction
- No More Than Four Students Per 22′ Boat; Each Boat with Instructor
The objective at our Lake George Sailing School is to teach you how to be a valuable crew member and to be a competent skipper as well. Each day starts with a classroom session, and then it’s out on the waters of beautiful Lake George. You’ll have plenty of hands-on training in various positions on the boat, including helmsman. Some of the things covered in the class are:
- Orientation to the Sailboat
- Tacking and Jibing
- Reading the Wind
- Docking and Anchoring
- Points of Sail
- Basic Right of Way Rules
- Sail Trim
- Water Safety
